Warner Bros. postpones Dune: Part Two release to 2024 amid actors’ strikes and industry shifts

Written by:

Warner Bros. has confirmed the postponement of “Dune: Part Two,” a highly anticipated fall film, from November to March next year due to ongoing actors’ strikes. The sequel, directed by Denis Villeneuve, was originally scheduled for a November 3 release but will now hit theaters on March 15. The delay is attributed to the desire for the star-studded cast, including Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and others, to effectively promote the film. This delay is one of several caused by the ongoing industry strikes. Other films, like “Challengers” and “Ghostbusters,” have also faced postponements. The scheduling changes have also affected other releases like “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” and “Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.” Despite these shifts, Warner Bros.’ other 2023 releases maintain their original dates.
