Rajinikanth-starrer “Jailer” approaches the Rs 600-crore milestone in global earnings, prompting an early online premiere due to an HD leak. Starting September 7, it will stream on Amazon Prime Video in multiple languages. Despite declining box office numbers, the film has earned Rs 572.8 crore worldwide, aiming to beat “2.0” as the highest-grossing Tamil film ever. Sun Pictures owner Kalanithi Maran gifted Rajinikanth a share of the film’s profits and a BMW X7. “Jailer” also features Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Jackie Shroff in key roles.
