Renowned actor Yuva Samrat Naga Chaitanya is leaving no stone unturned for his upcoming film, titled #NC23, as he adopts a grounded approach to bring authenticity to his character. Under the direction of Chandoo Mondeti, who delivered a Pan India blockbuster with ‘Karthikeya 2,’ this prestigious project has already gained significant attention.
In preparation for the film, Naga Chaitanya visited a village in Srikakulam and spent quality time with the local fishermen community, aiming to deeply understand their culture, lifestyle, and the essence of the land. The storyline, based on real incidents that occurred in 2018, captivated Chaitanya, who was moved by the inspiring tale.
The film is proudly presented by Mega Producer Allu Aravind and will be produced by Bunny Vas under the banner of Tollywood’s leading production house, Geetha Arts. Pre-production works are in full swing, with plans to commence shooting later this month.
Recently, Naga Chaitanya, Chandoo Mondeti, and Bunny Vas were spotted together in Vizag, and today, they visited the K Matchilesam village in Gara Mandal, Srikakulam district, to connect with the fishermen families and gather valuable insights for the film.
Speaking to the media, Naga Chaitanya shared his excitement about the storyline, which was developed based on real incidents. He praised Chandoo Mondeti’s dedication in working on the script for two years, adding that he was deeply inspired by the tale. The film’s pre-production phase has officially commenced, signaling the project’s progress.
Chandoo Mondeti also expressed his enthusiasm for the project, revealing that a local individual named Karthik shared the real incident’s story with Allu Aravind and Bunny Vas earlier. The script development took two years, and now, it’s ready to unfold on the big screen. Chandoo emphasized the significance of starting the pre-production in the actual location where the events transpired.
Producer Bunny Vas shed light on the incident that occurred in 2018, where locals from the village sought employment in Gujarat and worked on fishing boats. Writer Karthik’s story, based on this event, was skillfully turned into a beautiful love story by Chandoo Mondeti. Bunny Vas appreciated the trend of Telugu filmmakers pursuing more realistic narratives and acknowledged Chandoo’s desire to connect with the roots of the story.
