The legendary off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, the only bowler in Test cricket history to claim 800 wickets, is the subject of an authentic biopic titled ‘800.’ The film’s trailer was released in Mumbai by Movie Train Motion Pictures, with cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar in attendance. Madhur Mittal plays Muralitharan, and Mahima Nambiar portrays his wife. Directed by MS Sripathy and co-written by Shehan Karunatilaka, the film is set for an October release across India in multiple languages. Sachin Tendulkar praised Muralitharan’s talent and character, emphasizing the importance of perseverance in sports. Senior Tollywood producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad presented the film.
