Lionsgate unveiled the first official trailer for “Saw X” at the Midsummer Screen Festival, announcing the return of Jigsaw and his infamous puzzle traps. While the plot remains secretive, the film promises the comeback of Tobin Bell as the series’ iconic villain, despite his character’s apparent demise in “Saw 3.”
The “Saw” franchise, known for its complex storytelling, continues with its tenth installment, which arrives just two years after “Spiral: From the Book of Saw.” In addition to Tobin Bell, series veteran Shawnee Smith reprises her role as Amanda Young.
New cast members, including Steven Brand, Synnøve Macody Lund, Michael Beach, Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Octavio Hinojosa, and Joshua Okamoto, join the film’s ensemble.
Director Kevin Greutert returns to helm “Saw X,” having previously directed “Saw VI” and “Saw: The Final Chapter,” while writers Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger bring their creative talents to the project. The film is set to surprise fans with fresh traps and a captivating new mystery.
Lionsgate has confirmed the movie’s release date as September 27, 2023. The studio aims to captivate loyal “Saw” fans by preserving the essence of the franchise while introducing innovative elements to keep audiences guessing and engaged.
