Benedict Cumberbatch leads in Wes Anderson’s short film “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar,” based on Roald Dahl’s work. Premiering at the Venice Film Festival with applause, the 37-minute pastel adaptation explores the story of a gambler discovering meditation to see through cards. It features stars like Ben Kingsley, Richard Ayoade, Dev Patel, Ralph Fiennes, and Rupert Friend. This marks Anderson’s second Dahl adaptation following “Fantastic Mr. Fox.” The film, now owned by Netflix, will be released on September 27.
