Apple TV+ has revealed the title of its upcoming series in collaboration with Legendary’s Monsterverse, titled “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.” The series, set within the universe of “Godzilla,” “Kong: Skull Island,” and their sequels, explores a three-generational saga revolving around the fierce clash between Godzilla and the Titans that devastated San Francisco. Tracing the journey of two siblings as they follow their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s ties to the enigmatic organization Monarch, the show delves into the realm of monsters. With an impressive cast including Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell, the 1950s-based storyline unfolds to reveal Monarch’s looming threat. Co-developed by Chris Black and Matt Fraction, the series is directed by Matt Shakman, with an esteemed team of executive producers. Originally commissioned in January 2022, the show is gaining anticipation as it nears its premiere.
