Adarsh Gourav, renowned for his breakthrough performance in “The White Tiger (2020)”, has been signed on for filmmaker Reema Kagti’s upcoming project, “Superman of Malegaon”. The film is a comedy-drama based on the life of Sheikh Nasir, who was featured in the 2012 documentary “Supermen of Malegaon”.
“Superman of Malegaon” delves into the fascinating real-life story of Malegaon’s residents, who create spoofs of Bollywood films, achieving remarkable success. When approached for the film, Gourav quickly agreed, captivated by the intriguing narrative.
The shooting of “Superman of Malegaon” has been wrapped up, and the film also stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, and others.
Apart from this project, Adarsh Gourav will be seen in the Netflix series “Guns & Gulaabs”, a comedy crime thriller set in the 90s world of crime and violence. He will also feature in “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan”, a home production by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey.
